Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress, known for the roles she played in Hum Aapke Hai Koun. She began her career in the 80s before coming to prominence with her performance in Tezaab, a film in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapoor. Her next role was in Dil which she starred alongside Aamir. In Mumbai her home, she grew up in a family of middle-class parents. At a very young age, she began to learn dance. When she was a teen, she began acting and struggled for years due to the fact that her films at first were unsuccessful. Then she found her way to success and she became one of the top actresses within the Indian film industry. After her marriage, she took some time to rest from her acting career before returning. She was a key character in Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit has been nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these she's won eight. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize in India is bestowed to Dixit. Social work by her is well-known.
